Carl Johnson Studio is founded by Professor Carl Johnson in 2008 in United States. Professor Johnson is a painter, sculptor and stage designer. His artwork is included in several collections in the US, Great Britain and Taiwan. Recently, his work was included in an exhibition titled "Merging Emerging-Art, Utopia and Virtual Reality" at MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) Shanghai, China. In addition to pursuing work as a visual artist, Carl has served as a professional set designer and scenic artist for the past 15 years. His designs have appeared in China, France, Taiwan, Japan, the US and Singapore. Currently Carl is a member of the faculty in the Department of Foundations at SCAD, Hong Kong. Prior to this appointment he was a member of the faculty at University of Wisconsin Art Department and Northwestern University where he taught multilevel drawing and painting courses. In 2004 and 2005 he was awarded consecutive Fulbright Awards to lecture and conduct research at National Taiwan University on the subject of cross–disciplinary practice in the arts. In 2007 he was invited to present his creative work at the Central Academy of Drama in Beijing. Carl received his Master of Fine Art degree in Painting from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
